Diversity, justice and inclusion


DEI stands for Diversity, Equality and Inclusion and involves creating a working environment in which these principles are respected and promoted.

We are committed to creating a diverse, equal and inclusive work environment that enables our employees to succeed both personally and professionally. We are convinced that a diverse working environment not only attracts the best and brightest minds, but also offers the most creative and innovative solutions for our clients. We are therefore fully committed to developing and maintaining a diverse and inclusive work environment at all levels. We strive to attract people from diverse backgrounds and characteristics, particularly in terms of gender, cultural background, ethnicity, religion, political stance, lifestyle and sexual orientation.

This diversity strengthens and enriches us. It also spurs us on to continue to actively and continuously promote and implement efforts in this regard. For example, to promote gender equality, we specifically support female members of the firm through workshops and training as well as by maintaining and participating in networks and related programs. This benefits not only the individual employees, but also the firm as a whole. It is a genuine pleasure to see how individual employees develop and can count on the backing and support of the entire team.

Our international networks such as ALFA International and IR Global also support us in pursuing these goals of inclusion and diversity, finding innovative ways and constantly reflecting on our own process.

The basic principles of ALFAI in this regard, which of course also guide us, are: 1. all people deserve the same opportunities and the same treatment. And
2. Discrimination in any form is not accepted or tolerated.

The founding philosophy of IR Global is also based on ethical principles. The network aims to initiate positive change in the professional services sector and in the business world in general.

Our goal is to continually foster a work environment that fosters creativity, productivity, a sense of community and sustainable leadership - an environment in which our lawyers and staff feel enriched and supported to find solutions for our clients that exceed expectations.

 
 

Corporate social responsibility


CSR stands for corporate social responsibility and thus refers to the corporate culture in relation to society. Consistent implementation of CSR means making a contribution to sustainable development and overcoming social challenges.

As part of the justice system, we are in a unique position to promote equality and social justice. We recognize the special responsibility that the legal community has in facilitating access to the legal system and justice for people in need. As a firm, we believe that our attorneys have a responsibility not only to our individual clients, but also to the community. Our attorneys therefore spend countless hours being active in non-profit organizations and providing pro bono legal assistance. Volunteer legal advice is an essential part of our responsible corporate strategy and a sign of the role we want to play in society.

An important partner in this endeavor is Capacity Zuricha non-profit startup incubator in Zurich, which was established to create optimal opportunities for entrepreneurs with a migrant or refugee background to develop their business ideas and startup projects. Within this framework, our lawyers offer free legal workshops and actively promote an open, inclusive and innovative society by participating in mentoring and networking programs.

With Philalia we have another valuable partner at our side that utilizes the tradition and know-how of Swiss philanthropy on a national and global level. One of the most important goals of Philalia's international, interdisciplinary team and its modern research laboratory is to develop tailor-made products that facilitate exchange, innovation and fundraising between Swiss and international philanthropic organizations.

We see it as part of our mission to actively contribute to the creation of a community in which all members work together to support those who need it most.

Projects


Constant dripping wears away the stone. We are convinced that lasting positive change is achieved through ongoing, day-to-day efforts. Nevertheless, it gives us great pleasure and motivation to occasionally celebrate milestones with the community, talk about new initiatives and projects or focus on special topics.
