ESG - Environment, Social and Governance
ESG stands for environmental, social and corporate governance. It refers to a system of behaviors and criteria that can be used to evaluate a company beyond its financial performance. The ESG rating of a company is intended to provide information about its crisis resistance or sustainability, for example.
Environment:
Not only responsibility towards society, but also forbearance and respect for the environment are central components of our values. We influence our environment, and are influenced by our environment. The ethical behavior and carbon footprint of companies have long been among the most important criteria when selecting contractual partners.
Accordingly, we strive to minimize the negative impact of our work on the environment and instead promote projects and behaviors that bring about sustainable positive developments. For example, by working with Mr. Green, we recycle as much of our waste as possible. We generally use the well-developed Swiss public transport network, but also offer a parking lot with a charging station for electric vehicles.
Social:
Our commitment to maintaining and promoting a diverse and inclusive working environment is based on the conviction that this strengthens not only the individual employees, but also the law firm and the company as a whole. Our commitment is not limited to internal structures. We are also active in various legal and interdisciplinary communities to support and jointly pursue sustainable, positive initiatives. In certain constellations, our lawyers also provide pro bono support and lend a hand in the context of mentoring and networking programs.
Governance:
We value a transparent, internal system of processes and controls that enables effective corporate governance. Our firm should offer a safe, motivating and efficient working environment in which the diversity of our employees can develop as a strength.
Internally, this means that working as a team and open and respectful communication are a top priority. With mentoring projects for younger employees and an open-door culture, we want to ensure that our employees can reach their full potential.
As a company, we are constantly educating ourselves and are aware of our position in the market. We ensure that our company actively mitigates its risks and is able to adapt to the changing global and business climate.
